The Integrating Team Science into the STEM Graduate Training Experience Program aims to address the lack of exposure to interdisciplinary team science related material in graduate education programs, providing graduate students with the skills and resources necessary to contribute to successful interdisciplinary research teams.

This National Science Foundation Research Traineeship - Innovations in Graduate Education (NRT-IGE) Program is a collaboration between researchers at CEISMC, the College of Engineering, and the College of Sciences to develop and assess an interdisciplinary team science training program for graduate students.  Through a cyclical process, the curriculum is continually assessed and edited to ensure its applicability to graduate students.  The finalized curriculum will contain four modules to train graduate students in interdisciplinary team science: (1) Innovation and Productivity in Teams, (2) Diversity: Identities, Contributions, and Values, (3) Effective Communication, and (4) Leveraging and Managing Conflict.  Ultimately, this curriculum will be disseminated for use nationwide.
